How it Works
If you’re interested in applying for the 2009/10 competition, please email enquiries@technium.co.uk. We will let you know whether the competition will be running in your country.
The competition timetable for 2009/10 will be as follows. All dates are provisional at this stage:
October 2009 - March 2010
Step 1 – we invite applicants to submit an executive summary of their business plan to the local competition representative.
Step 2 – we will let entrants know if they meet the eligibility criteria to enter the competition.
Step 3 – candidates receive support for developing their international business plan, including:
- online guidance on writing an executive summary and business plan (create links to 2 separate download documents – to be supplied)
- a comprehensive manual providing detailed guidance on establishing a European base in Wales
- telephone and email correspondence with UK-based professional firms
- additional support at a local level – will vary from country to country
Competition application deadline: end March 2010
The earlier you apply, the more time you’ll have to make best use of the support available for developing your business plan.
Submission of business plans: early April 2010
To be sent to the local country judging panel.
Presentation of business concept: mid April 2010
Candidates make a short presentation to their local country judging panel.
Finalists announced: late April 2010
Finalists from each country will invited to attend the learning journey to Wales.
Learning journey: mid June 2010
Finalists will attend a week-long learning journey to Wales. This will include a short presentation to the final judging panel. You’ll also attend the annual awards ceremony where we’ll announce the overall international winner.
