Eligibility Criteria

Technium Challenge UK is open to pre-start up or early stage innovative businesses or entrepreneurs (i.e. no more than 2 years trading) with:

• A fairly well developed patentable idea or technology which involves a strong R&D element; and
• An interest in receiving practical support to develop the business plan and open to considering new ideas and suggestions from external advisers.

The individual or company should be based within the UK.  Technium excludes entries from any company that has already signed up to residency in a Technium centre at the time of applying.
 
An individual or early stage company interested in applying is also evaluated against their longer-term potential to meet Technium’s eligibility criteria as detailed below:-

• Innovative, high growth potential 
• High-tech or knowledge-based sector
• Exploiting IPR
• Engaged in research and development
• Developing academic links
• Capable management team
• Knowledge of Market
• Financially sustainable 
• Aware of residency requirements (e.g. support required)
• Have considered required length of time in the Technium environment
• An established and credible business plan
