I2M was established in August 2000 to deliver a number of key objectives:

Commercialisation of Acquired IPR
The company has a worldwide patent for the covert laser marking of reflective materials and a US patent based on RFID technology. Both technologies have applications in global brand protection and retail security, a multi-billion dollar market. These technologies are subject to licensing activities in Europe and the USA.

Commercialisation of Licensed IPR
The company has licences to sub-surface laser technologies to compliment the IP it owns. This technology is used for both security and decorative applications in glass products.

Commercialisation of New Technologies

Management consultancy in support of development of knowledge driven economy in Wales. I2M has worked extensively on projects in fields as diverse as Nano and microsytems and aquaculture at a strategic development level.
