Chongqing Academy of Science and Technology (CAST) were established in 2008 in China and is a public institution approved by the People’s Government of Chongqing Municipality. It is an industrial & technical all-around institution to integrate researches & developments, technical transformations & transfers, personnel training and international exchanges. CAST consists of nine institutes and eight centres. They are the “Chongqing Institute of Industrial Automation and Instrumentation,” “Chongqing Institute for Optical Machinery,” “The Biotechnology Institute of Chongqing,” “Chongqing Institute of Daily-Used Chemical Industry,” “Chongqing Silicate Institute,” “Chongqing High-Tech Incubation Center,” “Chongqing Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering,” and “Chongqing Metrological Center of Physio-Chemical Measurements of Mechanical Industry” and “Chongqing Institute of Food Industry” as well as “Chongqing Center for Moulds,” “Chongqing Center for Information and Automation Technologies,” “Chongqing Center for Advanced Materials,” “Chongqing Center for Parts and Assemblies of Automobiles and Motorcycles,” “Chongqing Center for Biomedicines and Medical Equipment,” “Chongqing Center for Petroleum and Chemical Engineering” and “Chongqing Center for Scientific & Technical Testing” and “Chongqing Center for Technology Evaluation & Transfer Services” and “Chongqing Center for Low-Carbon Research”.
The objective of CAST is to optimize the configuration of resources and to focus forces on some fields to form a research base and thus to change the current status of a scattered configuration of research institutions with poor equipment, single technology and shortage of professionals & innovations in order to improve the capability of technical supports and services of the R&D institutions for the developments of Chongqing’s industries.
On the basis of cooperation, CAST welcomes any UK universities, research institutes and enterprises to share or transfer its cutting-edge technology, science research information and products with us.
