Lease arrangements vary from centre to centre but as a guideline companies are generally offered a 2 to 3 year lease contract. At the end of the contract period, Technium discusses with the company their requirements and depending upon availability, grow-on space with a Technium centre can be arranged. The length of time a company can remain in a Technium centre again varies according to individual circumstances. However as a guideline companies are encouraged to graduate out of the Technium environment within a 5 year period.
Rental charges per annum vary from centre to centre and the figures provided below are to be used for guidance purposes only (and may be subject to change at any time):-
Technium Digital - £10.50/sq ft plus £5/sq ft service charge
Technium OpTIC - tba
Technium Springboard - £19.00/sq ft inclusive of service charge, utilities and broadband
Technium Swansea - £10.50/sq ft plus £5/sq ft service charge
The above charges generally exclude other costs such as rates, telephones, electricity, heating etc and again vary from centre to centre.
Technium centres also offer the option to rent a desk space in a shared business unit. This enables companies to access the benefits of Technium without the initial requirement of leasing a whole unit.
Renting a desk space is often the solution for an International company looking to establish an initial presence in the Wales/UK marketplace or for a local start-up company looking for early-stage support from Technium.
The cost of renting a desk space varies from centre to centre but is typically in the region of £200+VAT per month including rates (payable one month in advance). The length of time a company can rent a desk space varies from centre to centre but is typically around a 6-12 month period. Extending the rental period is reviewed on a case by case basis. The package includes:-
